Driven Sports 'Craze'
As an individual committed to fitness, health and physical culture my pantry is well stocked with a supply of vitamins, minerals and powders. However, this product has recently become my diamond in the rough.
Price:
Craze usually sells for anywhere from $29 - $35 USD. Sites like NutraPlanet and Bodybuilding.com frequently have specials that take it down from its RRP of $60-80 to a much more affordable cost.
Value:
A single tub of Craze provides 45 single-scoop serves. This is a reasonable balance between something like NO Explode's 50 servings and Super Pump's 40 servings. Unlike other pre-workout's I have previously taken, where I found myself having to 'up' the dosage after a few weeks, I never exceeded the 1 serve recommendation for Craze (nor did I feel I had to).
Results:
Craze provided the advertised boost to performance - I consistently saw improved lifts during the time I was using it. The amount of caffeine contained in the product was surprisingly small. Instead the great focus I saw came from the nootropic effects of Craze's other ingredients. It also contained both creatine and citrulline malate (which give considerably better pumps than Arginine). With my hectic schedule I'm usually in the gym at 6am every-morning so it was refreshing to take something that gave me intense focus without having me feel like I was jumping out of my skin.
A Personal Aside:
With the recent buzz around 1,3-dimethylamine (DMAA) and the new FDA ban on the substance, many will be glad to hear that Craze contains none of the so-called 'geranium extract'. That being said, it is important that users follow the safety guidelines outlined on the container (as with any other supplement).
Overall Rating:
5 / 5 Gold Dumbbells - but don't take my word for it, give it a go and let me know what your Craze experience was like!
